Introduction
Lumbini is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas in modern Nepal. In the Buddha's time, Lumbini was a beautiful garden full of green and shady Sal trees (Shorea)
Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu
On arrival at airport, traditional welcome and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day of leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Kathamdnu - Lumbini
Early morning after breakfast drive to Lumbini. Its nine hours journey from kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Lumbini
Today we will take to Ashoka Pillar: built in the year 259BC, this pillar was built by King Ashok, who was Buddhist, Maya Devi Temple: This temple is supposed to be dedicated to Maya Devi, who is Buddha’s mother, The Crane Sanctuary: a sanctuary is being built for the protection and breeding of endangered cranes in this area, The Sacred garden: is the beautiful area around the Asoka pillar where you can spend sometime relaxing and wondering around and Monasteries.
Day 4: Lumbini - Manakamana Temple
Morning after breakfast leave by surface for Manakamana. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Manakamana - Kathmandu
Early morning leave to Kathmandu. Rest day. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Departure
Transfered to the airport for onward destination.
